As technology advances, more and more electronic inventions are created and designed.
We keep ourselves updated with the latest models of devices,
ranging from personal use to household use.
So, what happens when their time is up?
#EWASTE,
a growing issue that demands our attention.
Electronic waste (e-waste) is a category for obsolete and broken electronic goods.
An average of 60 million tonne of e-waste is discarded within a year’s time.
Only 17% of e-waste is properly recycled, and 83% remains undocumented.
Private and public organizations are stepping up to aid consumers by providing e-waste recycling services. However, the gap between generated e-waste and collected e-waste to-date is nowhere near equilibrium.
